MAKEN X is a game for the Sega Dreamcast console by Atlus that fits into an extremely small sub-genre of "first-person slashers".It is unique in that the main character is the weapon(Maken) rather than a person.The word "Maken" translates as "demonic sword" and the "X" is shown to stand for deus ex machina.The player can control a number of character via 'brainjacking' which leaves the person a vegetable.The European and North American releases of Maken X were heavily censored from its Japanese counterpart which featured a more National-Socialist theme for some enemies and a boss-battle against the pope set inside the Vatican.Maken X is one of the most bizarre games on Sega Dreamcast and it is only played in first person view...
